To ensure a safe and effective training day, participants should meet the following criteria:
You can comfortably swim at least 250 metres without difficulty
You have mastered basic breathing techniques
Water temperatures in June can range from 16–20°C, so a wetsuit might be required.
You should have previous experience swimming in colder water before the 27th of June to avoid becoming too cold during the sessions.

If you’re a recreational swimmer who enjoys swimming in lakes and you would like to feel more confident and comfortable in open water or just want to swim longer, this session is for you!
Join us for a focused 2 half-day training session at Lake Bussloo in Apeldoorn, where we’ll work on the key open-water skills that help swimmers stay relaxed, safe, and efficient outside the pool.
During day 1, you’ll learn or improve:
During Day 2: We will guide you for a longer, relaxed open-water swim of 3–5 km, putting the skills into practice at your own steady pace.
Whether you want to improve your technique, or simply enjoy your swims more, the sessions will help you take the next step.
